Devaki was born in one of the few traditional Indian groups, bred to be a hunting dog and guard dog. Her owners were very loving and she took very good care of the children. She grew up with the children, who’s parents died when she was 2 years old. She stayed with the children who soon became modern and had children of their own. She went with the brother and his spouse and children who moved to Maine. She fell in love with another dog, but he died when she was four years old while she was pregnant.
